My Sister's Co.

My Sister's Company is a fair-wage women's cooperative in Pirang, The Gambia, West Africa, that creates items to sell to small businesses and individuals abroad. My Sister's Company is administered by Mennonite Educational and Horticultural Development Associates (MEHDA). Ten women work three half-days for the company, which produces tie-dyed fabric and creates items like purses, aprons, skirts, and pillow covers. The goal is for women to supplement their incomes without neglecting their gardens or their families.
